How do you know that you are loved?
Love for me is what I give and not what I receive. Saying the magic word I LOVE YOU, is something that can be said anytime to anyone with or without feelings. For me, I know that I am loved because of the Time, Effort, and Affection that they gave me. I feel loved because of their actions. They always make me feel wanted and important. They appreciate my efforts and give me advices that can help me to be better. They guide me when I am not on the right track. They take care of me whenever I am sick. They always make time to share talks. They never left me when I'm at my darkest and cheer for me when I'm at my best. For me, Love is a verb. It is something you receive freely and extraordinarily.
Can love be measured? If yes, how? If no, why?
My answer is No, Unconditional love can not be measured. Why? Here's verse from Corinthians 13:4-13
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in partand we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhoodbehind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

But here comes the reality, I'm taking the path far different from my childhood dreams. I know God has a plan. The dream of being a Beauty Queen made come true. My real challenge for now is my future.
I may seem far from that, but slowly I am making and building my dreams strongly because of the guidance and Love of God. I always pray, ask the petition that I may able to achieve my Goals.

2016 newly Elected Philippine President
I am a Filipino, a concerned citizen of the Philippines. I have the right to choose the deserving a leader who will lead our country with all himself, a good leader and a good listener, passionate, has a heart to serve and a Christ centered leader. Mayor Rodrigo Duterte of Davao City leads the Presidential vote count. I voted for him. Why? Because I can see his sencirity and good sense of leadership, that bravery and discipline that others don't have. What will I expect from him 6 years from now are:
1. To Take care of our citizens- Nowadays, Poverty is one of the biggest problems of our country. Rich or Poor, I know that he will take good care of the Filipino citizens.
2. Health Care System- As far I know, President Duterte is very close to the Children who has cancer. And I know that, he can improve our Health Care System in our country, from the Hospitals and other medical facilities.
3. Safety and Justice- "I hate Drugs" as what he always say. I believe that he can solve Drug related issues in our country, Crimes that has no Justice. The curfew that he will implement will such a big help, in that law Davao was know as one of the safest City in the world, why not in the whole country?
4. Corrupt Government- For many years, he served Davao City with no corruption issues. I know he will do the same thing in out country.
5. Good and Free Education- He is close to the youth. I know he will listen to our cry to give free education.
6. Government Salary- He says that Teachers are very important, and that they should get a higher salary that they deserve.
These are just few from many important issues that I believe President Rodrigo Duterte can solve in his term as the President of the Philippines.

My Life Story
Hi 😊 I am Fe Mavelle Cadungog Tano,20. I am thr eldest daughter of four. Both of my parents are working at the Department of Education, my Mom is a Teacher and my Dad is a Public School Supervisor. I have grown up my entire life at Sta.Catalina, my life started with a premitive, simple yet happy and healthy life. My early stages as a child, I grew up not being dependent to my parents. In some instances in school or in any activities, I just done things on my own but of course wih my parents guidance. Since my childhood years,my mama and papa always reminds me to be Christ Centered and Goal oriented person. I graduated my elementary school with honors. Of course I made my parents proud. To a good and happy life to a challenging life. My High School years were different, it taught me a lot of lessons that no one can teach except Life's experiences. I went to a Catholic School, and on my second year my parents separated. I was crushed and it affected my studies. Never in my wildest dreams that my family was broken. I continued my life my Mom and my siblings and I didn't stopped praying that it wouldn't be fixed. I helped my mama in everything, I was the one who maintained to discipline my younger brothers and in our house, I wanted to show my mama that I am strong enough to live without papa in our life. I was very selfish to think that my brothers want my papa back. After 3 years my mama and papa got settled with the help of DepEd. Slowly, I accepted my Papa, I tried to understand and bring back the old version of us thou I was still hurting and a bit of hatred that I felt was never easy to control. I joined a lot of extra curricular activities at school just to cope up with my grades. I graduated with a non-academic award.
College Days. The struggle is real! I entered college at Silliman University, I took up Bachelor of science in Civil Engineering that time. I chose CE because I was inspired and influenced by my cousin. But, Engineering was not really for me, I found hard to pass my Math subjects. So In my third year, I decided to shift and transfer a course and school. That's why now, I'm taking up BSGeology in NORSU. It's not a smooth sailing college years. I faced a lot of temptations and at the same time I found my passion of being a model and a beauty queen. In 2013 when I was still in Silliman, I represent Dumaguete City in a national pageant called Reyna ng Aliwan. Aliwan is known as the Philippine's grand festival of champions. It was my great honor to represent Sandurot Festival along with the other Festival queens around the country. I bagged as the 2nd runner up during Negros Sinulog Queen 2015, Miss Dumaguete 2015 runner up and I am the reigning Miss Bayawan 2016. Ever since I was a kid, it's always my dream to become a beauty queen.
I am thankful for All those ups and downs, because it helped me of becoming who I am today. I am continually praying that I may able to achieve my goals in life. To give back to my parents, to be successful, to travel around the world and to help others in need. For now and always,Prayer is my greatest armor in this cruel world that we are facing.
I am looking forward to share with you my next achievments and beautiful stories, in God's time.🙏🏼✈️😊

POET
José Corazón de Jesús (November 22, 1896 – May 26, 1932), also known by his pen name Huseng Batute, was a Filipinopoet who used Tagalog poetry to express the Filipinos' desire for independence during the American occupation of the Philippines, a period that lasted from 1901 to 1946. He is best known for being the lyricist of the Filipino song Bayan Ko.
Buhay Huseng Batute was born on November 22, 1896 in Santa Cruz, Manilato Vicente de Jesús, the first health bureau director of the American occupation government, and Susana Pangilinan of Pampanga. He was christened José Cecilio de Jesús but he later dropped Cecilio and replaced it with the Spanish name Corazón (heart) because he said it best described his character. -Wikipedia
REACTION:
This like this poem because of its extraordinary meaning. It's quite mysterious. Yet,it connects to how God serves as our light to every darkness of our lives. God made an instrument to show his light. That it maybe in a mysterious way or another.

My Hero
Dr.Jose Rizal
Dr. Jose Protacio Rizal was born in the town of Calamba, Laguna on 19th June 1861. The second son and the seventh among the eleven children of Francisco Mercado and Teodora Alonso.
With his mother as his first teacher, he began his early education at home and continued in Binan, Laguna. He entered a Jesuit-run Ateneo Municipal de Manila in 1872 and obtained a bachelor's degree with highest honors in 1876. He studied medicine at the University of Santo Tomas but had to stop because he felt that the Filipino students were being discriminated by their Dominican tutors. He went to Madrid at Universidad Central de Madrid and in 1885 at the age of 24, he finished his course in Philosophy and Letters with a grade of "Excellent".
Reflection
Dr. Jose Rizal is my favorite Filipinohero beacause oh his exemplary works and achievements and his undying love for our country and the Filipino people. He influenced me to strive really hard in life and that education is the mosr important key to success. He serves an an inspiration to the youth who wants to achieve success. His works and achievements are just bonus for him being a hero, but dying for our country simply shows the love for us. I want to live his teachings and soon to continue his legacy.

Your Love
Artist: Alamid
You're the one that never lets me sleep To my mind, down to my soul you touch my lips You're the one that I can't wait to see With you here by my side I'm in ecstasy I am all alone without you My days are dark without a glimpse of you But now that you came into my life I feel complete The flowers bloom, my morning shines And I can see Chorus: Your love is like the sun That lights up my whole world I feel the warmth inside Your love is like the river That flows down through my veins I feel the chill inside Every time I hear our music play Reminds me of the things that we've been through In my mind I can't believe it's true But in my heart the reality is you I am all alone without you My days are dark without a glimpse of you But now that you came into my life I feel complete The flowers bloom, my morning shines And I can see Your love is like the sun That lights up my whole world I feel the warmth inside Your love is like the river That flows down through my veins I feel the chill inside

Sta.Catalina from the Past
STA.CATALINA
The town of Sta. Catalina was formerly named Tolong. In about 1572, Captain Miguel de Laorca, a member of Legaspi’s expedition, sent the first Spanish mission led by Adrien Lajot, a Belgian mercenary (from Provence Liège) in order to take possession of Negros Island. During that period, there existed settlements at Lunsod (now Daan Lunsod), Secopan (now Secopong), and Cawitan ruled by three chieftains. It was said that these warring chieftains were settled and amicably fused by the Spaniards as a single settlement at Daan Lunsod. In the process of settling, the Spaniards referred to the chieftains as “Kamo Tolon”, (a mispronounced phrase for “Kamo Tolo” which means “The Three of You”). Hence, the name TOLON, and then eventually TOLONG.

Hence, the name TOLON, and then eventually TOLONG.
- Santa Catalina Parish Church
According to the Definatorio of June 11, 1580, the beginning of the Christian Organization of Negros Island was due to the Augustinian Friars. Because of the lack of priests, the secular priest of the Diocese of Cebu undertook the spiritual administration of Negros Island. He placed Dumaguete, Siaton, Marabao (now Bacong), and Manalongon (the name of the river) under the Ministry of Tanjay. In 1751, Tolong and the settlements further down south were taken over by the Recollect Friars because of the distance and difficulty of transportation.
Before 1855, the Recollect Friars who took over the mission of Tolong constructed a convent, a church, a cemetery, and a Tribunal House. The church was built of light materials but the convent and the Tribunal House were made of lime and limestone. In that same period, the poblacion of Tolong was moved and resettled from the old site, Daan Lunsod, to a site further down the coast where the church was built, the present location of Sta. Catalina. Even today, a famous landmark can be seen in the form of a balete tree growing on what was left of a portion of a wall of the old Tribunal House, right in the heart of Sta. Catalina, which has become a symbol of the town.
An adjacent town, Bayawan, became formally organized in the year 1872.
The occupation of Negros Island increased rapidly, and agriculture progressed in an inconceivable manner. The Spanish government, in order to attain better administration, formed and organized the Province of Negros Oriental in the year 1890, completely independent from the Occidental, Dumaguete was made capital of Negros Oriental and Tolong was next to the last town in the south to be within the Province of Negros Oriental.
- American Regime
In the new regime of the American occupation, sometime in the year 1903, the Poblacion of Tolong and Bayawan could not meet the minimum requirement to qualify for a municipality. So the two poblacions were fused together making Bayawan as the main Municipality, calling it Tolong Nuevo, and Tolong was reduced to be a mere Barrio called Tolong Viejo.
- Japanese Regime
When world war II broke out, the Japanese occupied Dumaguete on May 26, 1942. Since Tolong was the headquarters of the Guerrilla Movement under the leadership of Col. Abside with Lt. Gonzalo Melodia and some of his Tolong Viejo defenders, the Japanese visited the place with caution, landing only at dawn and back to Dumaguete in the afternoon. The recognized guerrilla unit was aided by local soldiers of the Philippine Commonwealth Army military units engage to encounter by attacking Japanese troops at Santa Catalina from 1942 to 1945 until retreating of all guerrilla fighters from the enemy hands. The province was liberated on April 26, 1945 by the combined forces of the United States Army, Philippine Commonwealth Army, Philippine Constabulary and the Recognized Guerrillas.
- Post World War II
After the war, in 1945, Congressman Enrique Medina, who considered himself as a son of Tolong Viejo, sponsored a move to separate Tolong Viejo from Tolong Nuevo.
On December 17, 1947, President Manuel Roxas issued executive order No. 111, making Sta. Catalina (previously Tolong Nuevo) the 26th municipality of Negros Oriental. After which, Tolong Nuevo immediately passed a resolution to rename their municipality Bayawan reviving the former name. Hence, the name TOLONG immediately disappeared.
